Host: Association for Talent Development
By: Devora Zack, Owner, My Only Connect

Success in many professions comes with a caveat—as you rise in your field you also become a manager. For many of us, management is an unfortunate side effect of being good at what you (used to) do. Now instead of simply doing what you excel at, you must also supervise others. Do you remember signing up for this?

An alarmingly few managers are equipped with good people skills. This session has the tools to help you thrive as a leader, handing you cutting-edge techniques to enhance your communication skills, team-building skills, and self-awareness. You will learn a new, field-tested method to custom-design a management style that incorporates your own unique abilities, style, and skills.

In this session you will learn to:

  • develop your own unique leadership style
  • motivate and develop your direct reports
  • identify diverse personality types on your team
  • address current issues facing you as a manager
  • better understand those around you in the workplace.

This one-of-a-kind session is upbeat, dynamic, humorous, and eminently practical. Be a success by being yourself—the only real path to exemplary leadership.
