Jess Almlie is a learning and performance strategist with more than 25 years of experience across multiple industries. After serving as the vice president of learning experience for WEX benefits, Jess started Almlie Consulting, a company dedicated to helping L&D leaders and teams to work more strategically, intentionally, and with measurable impact. Whether consulting on strategy for an L&D program or function, filling a gap as an interim or fractional leader, coaching L&D leaders through their unique challenges, or sharing thought leadership through writing and speaking, Jess is continuously challenging learning and development professionals to shift their thinking and actions and serve as strategic business partners.

Jess hosts a podcast, L&D Must Change, that highlights the voices of L&D leaders working to change the people development industry for the better. She also shares her own thoughts through a bi-weekly LinkedIn newsletter of the same name.

She’s active in the local and national talent development community, recently wrapped up a three-year term serving as a national advisor for chapters for ATD, and volunteers her time to serve as a judge for high school speech tournaments.
