Rashed Alzahmi is a PhD candidate in Workforce Education and Development, with an emphasis on human resources development and organization development at The Pennsylvania State University. He earned a MS and BS in workforce education and development from Penn State, and an associate’s degree in accounting from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Prior to his PhD study, Alzahmi worked in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the UAE for seven years where he was the head of the scholarship department. He was responsible for training and recruiting hundreds of talented individuals through various educational and training programs. He also served as a member in the board of trustees in the Glenelg School of Abu Dhabi for three years. His current research interests revolve around workforce planning, succession planning, human resource development, work engagement, and performance consultation.
