Leadership development has traditionally focused on the competencies needed for one to be successful. There is little doubt that competencies are important, but truly great leaders are more than competent. They have character – character represented by values that guide their every action and determine each decision. In values-based development, the focus is on the why instead of the how, and the result is both pervasive and impactful.

As a result of attending this webcast, you will learn:

  • The role values and character play in leadership
  • Why values are important above and beyond competencies
  • How to use assessments to measure values
  • The way values can derail performance and careers
  • How values can be used effectively for development
