This webcast looks at key learning metrics for learning functions in Brazil. This research will aid learning and development professionals working in Brazil in benchmarking their practices against those of their peers in Brazil. Among the topics explored will be the influences, challenges, and outlooks that shape the decisions of organizational learning functions, the size and role of learning departments, budgets for training, and hours and content of training. ATD surveyed talent development professionals in Brazil in 2015, and the Brazilian Association of Training and Development (ABTD) assisted ATD in distributing the survey to its contacts and networks. The staff of ABTD also translated the survey and findings into Portuguese.

Maria Ho joined ATD as a research analyst in 2014. She authors research reports and other research products, analyzes data, and develops research plans and quantitative models. Maria also promotes and presents ATD’s research by blogging, posting on social media, and giving presentations. She is especially interested in performance measurement and evaluation and the influence of new technologies on training.
Prior to joining ATD, Maria was a public policy researcher, data analyst, and writer at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and a master’s degree in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
Inigo manages ATD relations with Europe and Latin America. He joined ATD five years ago as part of the International team. Before joining ATD, Inigo worked as director of sales and marketing at Fonexion USA, a European Bluetooth and wireless accessories distributor, managing U.S. and Latin American operations. Prior to that he was deputy director of AGRAGEX (Spanish Farm Equipment and Irrigation Exporters Association) for nine years in Bilbao, Spain. In that role he promoted farm equipment products, organizing trade shows and trade missions and bringing entrepreneurs to more than 85 countries.
Inigo holds a BA in economics from the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma in economics from the University of Wolverhampton; he has also taken several doctorate courses in development economics at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and is currently learning Portuguese. Inigo has presented at various conferences and workshops in Latin America and Europe.
