The State of the Industry report is ATD’s definitive review of training and development trends. In this webcast, Wei Wang, Director of ATD International, will discuss learning benchmarking data from ATD’s 2016 State of the Industry report.

The webcast will explore trends in key learning metrics, including:
• direct learning expenditure
• the average number of training hours used by employees
• the average cost per learning hour
• what methods of training companies are using
• content areas that companies are focusing on.


Wei will also look at these key metrics for ATD’s 2016 BEST Award–winning organizations, which were recognized for their commitment to talent development.

Wei Wang

Sr. Director, ATD

Wei Wang is the director of International at ATD. In this capacity, she manages ATD International strategic partners from more than 20 countries, develops and supports member convening and networking programs, and facilitates the exchange of knowledge among the global learning and development community. Wei’s other role at ATD is manager of the Global HRD Community of Practice. In this role, she supports professionals around the world in order for them to share regional best practices, conducts global benchmarking, and discusses cross-cultural and global talent development issues.

Wei holds a PhD in human resource development from the Pennsylvania State University, and a master's degree in management from Nankai University in China. She is also a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance. Wei speaks Mandarin and English.
