From the nursing shortage to the switch to value-based care, the healthcare industry is facing many unique challenges. In this webcast, we will share findings from ATD’s new research report, the 2019 State of Healthcare Training, to help talent development professionals better meet the needs of their learners amid these challenges.

Drawing on findings from a variety of healthcare organizations, this webcast provides valuable benchmarking data on learning expenditures and training delivery methods. It explores topics that healthcare organizations are currently navigating, such as using talent strategies to retain nurses and providing training to prepare for the switch to value-based care. Lastly, the webcast presents recommendations for creating more effective learning programs.

Shauna Robinson

Research Analyst, ATD

Shauna Robinson is a research analyst at the Association for Talent Development (ATD), where she prepares surveys, analyzes data, and writes research reports and short case studies. Her previous positions at ATD include human capital specialist and communities of practice coordinator. 

Prior to working for ATD, Shauna was a senior editorial assistant at Wiley in San Francisco, California. Shauna received a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Berkeley, and she is currently attending the University of Connecticut remotely to obtain a master's degree in survey research.

Jacque Burandt

A proven expert in creating an award-winning culture, Jacque led the team at University Health System (UHS), San Antonio, Texas, to win eight ATD BEST Awards and ATD’s first Innovation in Talent Development Award. UHS has won more BEST Awards than any other nonprofit organization in the world. A strong advocate for workforce development throughout her career, Jacque recently submitted University Health System’s winning application for CareerSTAT’s 2017 Frontline Worker Champion Award. She served as chairperson of ATD’s Public Policy Committee, wrote four case studies for ATD’s Skills Gap Series, and co-chaired the Strategic Planning Committee for Workforce Solutions Alamo.

Jacque and her team also won four Chief Learning Officer Learning Elite Awards, including Editor’s Choice for Best Midsize Company in 2016 and five Chief Learning Officer Learning in Practice Awards.
