A leadership story is a powerful tool for leaders to use as they reflect on the ups and downs of the past year. Our stories showcase the skills and knowledge we gained from the different projects and opportunities we experienced. This annual narrative also encompasses the lessons we learned from our bosses and colleagues, each bringing out something unique in us.
Our leadership stories are not stagnant; they are a continual work in progress. They keep evolving as we keep growing and redefining ourselves. At certain points in our leadership journey, we may recognize that our stories aren’t reflecting the leader we are today or the leader we want to become. When we feel this way, we need to rediscover the leadership story we want to tell.
In this ATD Forum ConnectSpark session, we will add to our leadership toolboxes ways to write powerful leadership stories. We will capture the skills and knowledge that goes into designing a meaningful narrative that depicts each of our individual journeys from this past year.
