The Career Development Paradox for Mid-Size Companies

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 12:00pm - 1:00pm EDT
Host: Association for Talent Development

According to a 2011 research study by GE Capital and The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, one of the most important sectors of the U.S. economy is the “middle market”—companies with revenues of $10M up to $1B, which account for one-third of GDP and private-sector jobs.

Among the findings of the study, mid-size companies are challenged to find, recruit, and retain human capital—both in critical skills areas and management talent. Executives and owners say key talent is necessary to support existing operations and customers. Top recruits and key performers doing stellar work for these companies want career opportunities and growth to join or to stay with an organization.

So how can mid-size companies effectively recruit and retain top talent? Joanne Dustin, an executive and career coach and a change consultant, and partner with Career Collaborators, will explain how.
