We will also focus on training topics, the modality of training, and the challenges of training deskless workers.

Tessa is a researcher at ATD. Her research interests include organizational behavior, the future of work, wellbeing, and the impact of digital technology on human behavior. Before joining ATD, Tessa managed business development efforts for IBM. 


Rocki Basel
Rocki Basel

Director, Research, ATD

Rocki Basel, Ph.D. joined the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in 2022 and is the director of research. Before joining ATD, she was a researcher for other national membership organizations. Her research interests include workplace culture, employee engagement, mental health, and organizational communication. She has a Ph.D. in communication studies from Kent State University.


JD Dillon
JD Dillon

Principal, LearnGeek

JD Dillon is one of the most prolific authors and speakers in workplace learning today. With his practical approach, JD integrates science, technology, storytelling and pure common sense to enable employees, improve performance and drive business results. For 20 years, JD has executed strategies for global organizations, including The Walt Disney Company, Kaplan, Brambles, and AMC Theatres. In his role with Axonify, he partners with an award-winning team to solve business problems for leading organizations through modern learning practices and cutting-edge technology. JD attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Marketing. He also holds an MBA from Kaplan University.
